Spring Finally Arrives

I'm so glad to see that spring is finally here. March tends to be the longest stretch of winter. So much anticipation and planning of the next planting season goes on, I just realized that I haven't yet made an entry for March!

Reading back to my last post, I am humbled by how much energy has gone into the green house project. It was only yesterday that I started putting up the walls over the insulation - and I'm only half-done!

I used 2' x 4' ceiling tiles, which are all bright white and very easy to cut. This will ensure that the inside will be nice and bright as well as better insulated. I'm hoping to have all 20 ceiling tiles cut and in place by next weekend.

The snow is retreating to the woods ever so slowly. Most of the gardens have been exposed, but nothing other than the tiny chamomile plants next to the garlic has sprouted yet.

Next entry will have photos of seeds started in the flats upstairs. Planting begins soon after I post this on Sunday, March 29, 2009.

Happy Gardening!
:)
